The statue located in the Bellevue Food Court once was seen sporting the hats of Philadelphia’s favorite sports teams. The statue has been hatless for some time now due to the superstition that surrounds it. It became custom to place a Phillies hat on the statue before each game. One week last year the team hit a rough patch and the hat was forgotten about. That day, with the statue hatless, the Phillies got out of their slump eventually leading them to a world series win. Ever since that day a hat has never been placed back on the statue.
Don’t even think about it Yankees fans…
